In my opinion, it is good to know the age of the person because it has to do with prostate treatment.
PSA can be tricky, in 2015 I was 68 and a PSA at that age is 4.00 as normal, many doctors don't think of surgery until it rises to more than 6.00 unless a biopsy shows cancer.
My PSA was always below 4.00 but, because of a rectal examen, a biopsy was performed and it came positive. The day of the surgery my PSA was 3.70. I guess every case and individual is different.

Around 10% of people do not produce PSA when they have prostate cancer. You may be in that group. If so, then a PSA test after you are treated may be of no use. A CT scan comparing the previous one or a PSMA pet scan may be necessary to find out if you actually have reoccurrence.

Just something to be aware of.
