Surely french fries can't be bad for you, I eat them a lot as well as sweet potatoes fries. I know they are not good for people with diabetes. And then tonight I ate some bacon, I bet that is also bad and at lunch I had an extra large taco burger. But I did drink water instead of a soda. My cholesterol numbers are great, cholesterol 127, Triglycerides 104, HDL 42, LDL 64 and Non-HDL Cholesterol 85.

@diverjer
Fried foods are not good for prostate cancer patients. Same with bacon, Another one of the red mates that you try to avoid, but the bacon is also prepared like deli meats, so it’s double problematic.

@diverjer Believe it or not, French Fries are often cited as the #1 WORST thing you can possibly eat!
It’s not the potato, but the months old cooking oil and hydrogenated fat that you’re ingesting.
Every time they reheat that oil, it becomes more and more toxic. I’m not a member of the food police - and I DO love French fries - but if they come with my meal (which is rare) I will eat a few but leave the rest behind.
