I am certainly getting and learning more about Osteoporosis. My GP has always been good, he also mentioned as important is something called fracture risk assessment which he said between the Dexa and that I am not high risk versus adding more medication which has side effects. He is just recommending more Vitamin D and Calcium.

@wheel1 This is what will happen, I predict: you will add more calcium and vitamin D, and go for another DEXA scan in a year, and it will be worse. If all we had to to was take a vitamin and drink some milk, nobody would have osteoporosis. You are losing bone density, and it's not because you don't drink a glass of milk every day. Please go see an endocrinologist.

@wheel1 Look at your diet, calcium from food is better, enough protein, supplements D, K@ and Magnesium are all very important. you need to feed your bone. Also start strength training if you are not already. this strengthens your muscles which put a pull on your bone, causing them stress, which tells them to build bone. I also suggest you look up DR Lisa Moore on YOU TUBE for a good place to start or learn more. She really helped me.
