@sherrig thanks so much for the info. I did read on the Bronchiectasis & NTM chats, that the Safe Water filters need to be used at lower temps. For me that is a real negative . . If I change anything , it needs to be for a high, wall mounted shower head. Placing a filter directly above my shower head would work best with my current plumbing .

* However…I had 2 separate test results of 1+ MAC cultures in the past 6 months, but I just received a culture back yesterday that didn’t show any MAC. Nothing in my water systems has changed during this time frame, so I guess I’m going to hold off for now on making any big changes .
I was at UT Tyler yesterday , and the pulmonologist said it’s possible the MAC may not come back . She is also in the camp that believes you can make all the changes and still get MAC, and visa versa. I was getting concerned with the positive MAC cultures and considering making some changes . If MAC starts rearing its head again , I may rethink it all and add a filter . My hubs checked and our hot water heater is a little above 130, so I guess I’ll see how things continue to work out , and continue to have sputum checks .
Thanks again!

Good luck. All of us who have had MAC, including me, hope it never comes back. We do the best we can to limit exposure and mitigate with airway clearance, if we think we have been exposed.
FYI there is a trial called Boost that is testing a vaccine against MAC. That would be wonderful if it is successful. https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07094711
