Thank you so much @chrpeters23 ! Your story is encouraging. So happy to hear that you seem to be doing better without the Klonopin. I too noticed that in situations that I am usually nervous, I am more shaky and have anxiety that I didn't have before Klonopin. Though I take it for a movement disorder, I can tell it has affected my emotions on a small scale. My prayers are with you, and you are soooo close to being free. Good luck and thank you for the encouragement!

Hi @lizaa
I’m just chiming in with a little input from my current taper. I’m on a liquid suspension taper and I have to make very tiny cuts.

1- make sure if you do a liquid taper and have it compounded, that the pharmacy compounding for you uses a simple syrup suspension. Suspensions often have artificial sweeteners and preservatives, those make me terribly sick.! I avoid all artificial sweeteners as they make my symptoms 100% worse. My first suspension was not simple syrup and I was sick for several weeks after the first dose. I did some research on the suspension used and realized I had ingested Splenda. That was a nightmare experience.

2- Make sure they compound with the same brand pill you are currently using. Generic Clonazepam can vary a lot in their formulation. Different fillers and binders from one manufacture to another. Those changes from brand to brand can create different reactions and my experience has been that some symptoms can be more intense with certain generic brands of Clonazepam. Everybody is different but the variations from one pill to another really affect me. So I keep tabs on the brand.

Overall I have found it is way more costly to have it compounded (@80.00) but it is much more accurate in cutting doses and easier to make cuts bc I can make them very small. So very much worth the extra expense. Google liquid benzo taper and you can get the jist of it online. There are some good videos out there

Hope this helps some!

PS your dr will have to write the script for suspension in order to get it in suspension

Absolutely and you too!
