Hello. Thank you for that information. Two years ago I had my breast implants removed along with the capsules. The surgeon suggested I get some fat transferred to make my breast look more youthful. With that being said, I had an MRI last year instead of a regular mammogram and everything was fine last week they did my annual MRI mammogram. They came back with a finding on my right breast.
impression: Asymmetric non-mass- right lateral breast, redundant, upper outer aspect BIRADS 4 suspicious abnormality

Now they want to do a MRI biopsy and I’m just frightened and not quite sure what to even think about it because of course they can’t get me in until middle of August so I’m sitting here trying to enjoy my vacation with my family thinking the worst of course.
My question to you is what kind of questions should I be asking during this MRI guided biopsy?
Thank you,
Tanya

@tanyad06, how did the MRI-guided biopsy go? How are you doing?

@tanyad06 Hello and thanks for sharing your cancer journey. I was diagnosed with IDC left breast cancer ER/PR HER2- in 1999. I underwent lumpectomy - + lymph nodes, 4 were positive for cancer. I received chemo and radiation treatment followed by Tamoxifen and Letrozole for five years. Last fall, I noticed my left beast was oozing matter from the edge of the nipple. Mammo did not find anything, nor did sono. In December I had a sono guided biopsy. No cancer was found, only necrotic tissue. I began noticing breast changes in March -rough skin on my left breast and nipple inverted. Another Mammo and sonogram found nothing but dense breast tissue. MRI found suspicion of left breast cancer, another biopsy confirmed lobular cancer. Unfortunately, PET showed that it had metastasized to 4 lymph nodes in my right axilla. In June I started on Ibrance (targeted therapy) and Letrozole. Needless to say this has been a frustrating and difficult year.
