Yes, I won’t lie either the prechemo was very rough on my husband. In fact, they didn’t think he would be a candidate for the bone marrow transplant since he was so weak. Well this practice had just started a PT program just for candidates. My husband started out using a walker and with the help of the therapist he worked himself to the point he was considered a candidate. This is a former coach who worked out a lot. And on top of the cancer he has Parkinson’s so it has been a real challenge. He is now 3 + years from transplant and doing great. It will all be more than worth it for this second chance at life. Hang in there and Lori and this site helped me through a lot. 🙏
