@lizziew Best wishes to you guys. We went to see three different radiation oncologists at three major cancer centers near our house in Germany. It's mind blowing when I looked up what kinds of treatments they offer and the possible machines they have. Then I did my homework on the pros and cons of each treatment before going in so that I could discuss with them why they offered this but not that. I've learned a lot throughout this process. It was overwhelming but very fun process. I did the same process with the medication for hormone therapy. At the radiation oncology center my husband went, each patient got the booklet (like mini passport) with their patient ID number, a card (like credit card) to tap for check-in, the lists of phone numbers of their center (plus hours), and the parts that the team could note the dates, times, and remarks for the treatments and bloodwork.

My husband sessions were also 5 days a week, but they got pushed back twice due to the federal holidays here. Instead of completing it on 13 May, it was done on 15 May. In the mid of the treatments, he was diagnosed with diverticulitis. It's not from radiation therapy. It was an unknown pre-existing illness that somehow just showed up. We're very impressed with the radiation oncology center he went to. They sent him immediately to their ER after the session and wouldn't let him leave until they knew exactly what was wrong.
