No doubt , it’s a big decision . The recovery process is one you’ll never forget. However, it’s worth it. Get ready:
Mentally and physically. Start by doing the exercises you will need to do post surgery. It will encourage you to do the work post surgery. It’s important to have someone to help and encourage you the first couple of weeks. An elevated toilet seat and bars for the toilet were so helpful getting up and down. Eat nutritiously and drink lots of water.
I had tkr in ‘24 and ‘25. Best decision , I do have some occasional soreness and buckling. My surgeon reminded me that it’s not my original knee. It’s worth it . My quality of life has gotten so much better. I can live with the occasional minor issues. Be brave ! Best wishes.

Yes I’ve been trying to prepare as much as possible with exercises as I’m a pretty fit guy for 67. However, I’ve had multiple surgeries on my bowel and a big stomach hernia, total 4 in 3 years and now I’ve got this full on knee surgery. . definitely going to be challenging.

Thanks for the input and nice to read a more positive review, it’s nice to see some people are better off.
I’ve been training for this with exercises but it’s definitely mentally draining as very concerned as there are just as many negative reviews so a lot of people have issues with a knee replacement and some say best thing ever, I hope I’m a lucky one !
