Justin......Whatever helps others is my goal I do know of several people who have had both TKR's done at the same time, but at this point in time I can not recollect their details. In addition, my surgeries were so overwhelming successful I don't want others to feel "envious" or wonder what are they doing wrong or was their surgeon at fault. It was after my 2nd TKR that my surgeon accidentally injected cortisone into my knee and permanently precipitated my Myotonic Dystrophy. I have explained this in a previous post and hopefully I let all know that even so.....I STILL see that surgeon. If you want me to reiterate why I hold him faultless in that, I will, but that was explained quite recently. I basically feel with Connect you seldom hear from those, who like me had NO problems with their TKRs.

I am Marield65 and want to know if anyone feels a click in their knee after the TKR. I am 3 months post surgery and am doing well. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

I had both knees done at the same time about one and a half years ago. I do have a click in both knees, one being worse than the other, surgeon says its normal, but I'm not sure I buy that. It is very annoying, I've had to train my mind to ignore the feel and sound. I did well with the surgery, and PT , however I have crps in both knees. I have constant pain. I suppose the disadvantage to to having bilateral knee replacements is the possibility of having problems in both is very real. I am constantly seeking a solution to this problem , but as yet , have found no help. Hope this info helps someone.

To rmeddings: I have since found someone else that has a click in one of his knees. My doctor said it was just metal rubbing against metal, but the feeling of the click is driving me nuts. You have to really ignore it, which I'm doing more and more. If you find an answer, please pass it on. And ditto here. Thanks for responding.
