Why apply alcohol after completing 2 weeks of of Fluorouracil?

All I can say is, "Ow Ow Ow!" Alcohol over skin that just had fluorouracil treatment makes me cringe just thinking about it. Can you ask your doctor if you heard correctly? Did he mean something else? If he indeed said alcohol, ask him what benefit is it, and doesn't that seem like putting fire to raw skin?

@gingerw I have used generic efudex a few times over the years and the instructions were to use mild moisturizer like Vanicream or CeraVe and Acquafor. I would double check with doctor.
