@mookiehouston There are booties and mittens you can get... that you put in the freezer, then wear during the chemo infusions. Surprisingly no one had mentioned these to Dan so we bought them... I think on line. I probably learned about them in this forum. But when we showed up with them at the infusion room the nurses said they had a bunch in the freezer there! Not sure why no one offered them to Dan. I just donated ours to the infusion room after Dan died, so you may ask at your hospital first before buying. I think Dan started using them too late as his neuropathy continued to get worse and worse. I'm forgetting now, but it seems he put them on (needed help putting them on as the mitts are big and don't allow for use of your hands) for a specific part of the infusion. And they also had me spooning ice into his mouth during that one drug infusion. He said the mitts especially were painfully cold for him and at times he had to take them off. But I believe the idea was to keep the one drug from going into the extremities.
