@caseyharv I feel your pain my wife was in the same situation getting very agitated got in a confrontation with the ServiceMaster cleaning person at the Care Center pulled his hair and slapped him because I think she wanted him to open the door so she could get out and walk home. She also knocked over a 99-year-old woman in the care center and that's when they called and took her to the ER and she remained to me are for 4 or 5 days before they got some medicine changed and the Care Center finally took her back but she is still not doing well it's it's only been since June 15th she was in. But all she wants to do is go home she keeps packing all of her clothes and belongings and stuff that are at the care center and puts them in baskets and expecting me to come and get her to take her home it's so sad.

@edj1950 It is so sad. I’m sorry for you and me and everyone in our shoes and the shoes of our loved ones.
They are still trying to figure out the best medicine for my husband. They have had to give extra klonopin this week and he can barely walk but without it he pushes people and is totally inappropriate.
If the staff were better trained in deescalation and redirection they wouldn’t need as much medication but I guess that’s not reality.
He has been in the memory care three months now and has had one week in the psych unit in between.
Hang in there. It may take months for your wife to settle. I hope you are able to leave and let go a bit but this is so hard. My heart goes out to you❤️
