Fearing risks of Prolia

@deb0117 Did your doc say you could stay on Prolia indefinitely? Like 20 more years or until end of life? Is there no limit as to how many years you can be on this drug? Also, I was thinking that as we age accessing the injection might be difficult. Transportation, mobility and illness could prevent us in our 80's from being able to reliably get to the injection location. Maybe I move to a assisted living or have dementia..... then what? I don't know the idea of forever just seems like alot to me. Thanks for sharing.

@sassysaveur I do go to an endocrinologist who specializes in osteoporosis at Johns Hopkins and every year I have a dexa scan and we will decide how to proceed. If prolia works out for me I can stay on it I think forever. But, to be honest, I will see her in August and I will ask her about this and then touch base again. There are other stronger medications than the bisphosphonates. I did not realize that the pills sometimes plateau for people and you have to take stronger drugs. I will definitely stay in touch.
