Here is a different opinion on the stomach acid question from “Is Lithium a micronutrient?” From 2018.

‘The two most well-known low-dose forms of Li that are readily available over the counter (OTC) are orotate and aspartate. Due to their stability, they are absorbed, transferred in the intestinal lumen, and transported to the cells mostly in a unionized form.“

I guess further study is required.
