They are both good alternatives to regular cow milk but as @jeffmarc said soy has much more protein (8 times more per serving) and soy milk has isoflavones and also estrogenic effect so theoretically could be good as PC suppressor (studies are either pro-soy or inconclusive but I found none that show opposite effect). So my vote is for soy.
Oh yes, it is so hard to find any alternative milk that has no sugar or added "gums" (thickeners) and one needs to read ingredients always. We found organic soymilk that has ONLY soy and nothing else and has 9 gr of protein per serving. It is manufactured by " WEST LIFE". It is very tasty, sweet naturally - I mean it tastes sweet to me. Hope this helps 🙂.
@dpayton we are currently using unsweetened almond milk but minimal protein. I would agree IF you can find unsweetened soy with no added junk it’s probably best for the protein.
@dpayton they do have organic non gmo unsweetened soy, however my oncologist nutritionist at Mayo says not to over consume soy products he didn’t say stop eating but keep moderate, he also said that about nut milk, and any milk it only should contain nut milk and maybe a little salt. What I do is rotate my milk, from soy to pistachios, I also cut in half like half one and the other, not every day either I’m moving to water on breakfast. Just my 2 cents

I switched from unsweetened almond milk, to unsweetened soy milk. Soy has a lot more protein, Something us prostate cancer patients Need.
You may have to shop somewhere else to get unsweetened soy. Trader Joe’s has it.
