Thank you for the suggestions! I have thought of EMDS but never heard of TMS. My neurologist added oxcarbazepine for the jerks and absence seizures. Its in the same family as tegretol and I took that for decades before switching to lamictal for focal. I am hoping this will take care of things for me! I'll keep you all posted!

Trileptal (oxcarbazepine) works well for many people. In a minority, like it happened to me, it can cause low blood sodium, which can be a trigger for seizures.
Has your doctor checked your baseline sodium before starting Trileptal?
Also, quick question; what does EMDS stand for?
