This is only a jaded opinion. I don't trust that the medical community has enough knowledge yet to give women an answer that I could accept. That being said, I made my decision to start bhrt with testosterone based on being 77 and shifting to quality of life over quantity. I wanted my libido back and that was worth trying it. For me the addition of testosterone met that goal and the whole bhrt package has had additional benefits. We are so individual. Have you spoken with your providers? What are they saying and can they support their opinions with current research and direct patient experience?

@gravity3 81 here and 2 docs said not to mess with hormones when I am in a very good recovery from CRC. One spoke of risk which the other didn’t …Primary says keep doing healthy diet, exercise, a decent bone supplement and well-directed PT….she thinks people tend to over-treat with strong meds too soon in otherwise healthy and limber patients.
