When they say no weight at all for 2 weeks after bunion surgery what does that really look like? In bed for 2 weeks? How do you get out of bed to use the bathroom without putting weight on foot?

You can walk on your heal only - or ideally get a knee scooter. You could also ask the doctor precisely what they mean by “no weight at all,” like does it include walking on a boot?

I did sit for a week using an ice machine for a whole lot of the day and had my foot elevated. It kept the swelling way down, good luck

@tkrfail21, Heel walking and I had a crutch to start out, otherwise I was sitting with my foot elevated on a pillow on a table.
