I agree! Mounjaro quiets the urgent “food noise”. Obesity is a disease - diagnosed in 2013. The brain has a “body fat set point” which tells the body how much fat to store in case of an upcoming famine. I’ve attached photo of book “Enough” which talks about all these points.
I started Mounjaro 11-2025. My endocrinologist allowed me to gradually increase dose since I didn’t have any side effect.
May 5, 2026 I started top dose of 15 mg. I’ve lost 27 pounds since then. Another 4 pounds and the scale will be showing me a number I haven’t seen since 2000 = 26 years ago!
Full disclosure = my endocrinologist also recommended 2 supplements which seem to be helping with my weight loss AND lower my blood sugars. Dihydo-Berberine and Alpha Lipoic Acid.
May 1, 2026 my lab blood draw had A1C at 7.1.
Today my Dexcom G7 states my 90 day is 6.4.
The meds and CGM are working, but I must admit it takes planning and following that plan every day. No more “cheat days”. I’ve stopped attending potlucks, local festivals with food trucks, going out to lunch with friends, etc.
I tell myself it won’t always be this strict and that someday when I get to my healthy weight and can stop some meds (HBP + high cholesterol + HRT) then I can afford to have an occasional lunch with friends. 🥰
