Having PAE next week, what can I expect the next day?

You should not be drinking juices, coffee or teas after the procedure. Plain water, as much as you can drink. Most juices are acidic, not good for the bladder. Coffee and teas are diuretics, and make you pee more often.

4 days out from Monday, I'm feeling a lot better, maybe 70% and improving daily. Everyone is different, some people have 1000's of beads inserted, I only had 400. But it depends on the size of the prostate and how many/how large the feeding arteries are. Some people breeze by everything, others suffer beyond belief.

The Dr. also said keep the right leg elevated the first day or two and no lifting for 3 days.

@sshz Thank you. Neither doctor I talked with mentioned anything about coffee nor how long to abstain from sex. I have cut my coffee consumption down from three cups per day to one and sometimes don’t finish that one. I don’t want the headache from the detox. While in recovery they gave me apple juice, not organic, in a box,

I was expecting a call from the hospital to check on me and would ask some questions. Perhaps the call will come today.

On the up side, I slept 7 hours last night, the fourth night after the procedure, and didn’t get up once. The sun was lighting the sky brightening my room and I usually get up about six am anyway. The urgency is not as bad and the stinging is a lot less.
