@jc76 There's this perception that people will use AI as a foundation for starting serious research, as a kind of first-take. Then they'll start serious thinking.

I believe people will consider it as authoritative, and *stop* thinking after getting results from AI.

I remember when pocket calculators first appeared. There was an expectation that it would free people from basic math and allow them to pursue higher mathematical functions. As if. Now your average college grad can't figure out a 20% discount.

I think some will use as you mentioned but many like me do not. I use A.I. like I used to do for typing in search button and getting a list of things to read from the sources that covered your inquiry.

Now I do same for A.I. What is does is summarizes the information it is sourcing. But with Co-Pilot it list the sources at bottom of page that it is referring to for the information posted.

I always want a deeper inquiry and thus can use the sources listed at bottom of reply and go directly to that source. I will also asked my cardiologist and EP what are there views on this or that when ever I read something on A.I.

I always use my doctors as final guide on diagnosis and treatments. Why? A.I. does not have your full medical and mental history nor have they seen you in person with a personal exam.

Everyone needs to understand that as A.I. is not match for a personal interaction with your doctors.
