New- had a fall/concussion 1/30/26. Think I may be having pcs. Husband says he tells me things and I don't remember it at all. I also am having a harder time remembering new information and learning new stuff. More forgetful, but Im also post menopausal and 63. How can I tell the difference.

Hi @sdokie - hello, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. You point out a legitimate question about how to tell what is age or life stage, and what is due to traumatic injury.

I'm assuming you mean post-concussion syndrome, as you posted this in the context of the Traumatic Brain Injury group? I'm asking as there are so many acronyms in medicine and want to be sure we are all discussing the same thing.

Have you had the chance to discuss this forgetfulness with your primary care physician at all? If so, what did he or she say?
