I'm 70, I had a TURP 11 years ago. It grew back, but only to 50cc, but it grew in the direction of the urethra and I was having major symptoms again. On Monday, 6/29, I had a P.A.E. and let me tell you, into the evening I was peeing every 5-10 minutes. No sleep all night, I was manic. I called the Dr. at 5:30am and he said I could go get a catheter put in or give it some time and I'll feel a little better the coming evening. It was so bad, I opted for the cath. In the emergency room for 4 hours, they couldn't get it in past the swelling of the prostate. They tried 3 times and gave up. Home I went without one miserable. Come Tuesday evening, I was doing somewhat better, and not peeing every 5-10 minutes. Now it's like 15-25 minutes, I'm carrying a pee bottle everywhere I go since I pee'd myself twice- the urge comes so quick, you have 5-10 seconds to get to the toilet or it's over- out it comes. Anyway, it's Thursday at midnight, and things continue to improve. The urgency is less, I'm sleeping at night, and the pee strength has some gusto to it. Figure on having some minor issues days 3-7, some people up to 14 days. Then minor issues go away and things improve over the next 6 months or so. At least in 80-85% of the people.........hope you are 1 of them.

@sshz Thank you for your post. Yours seemed to come on quicker than mine. I found that lying prone is a great option for me.
