Hello everyone! I just signed in to this group as I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my lungs. I'm a 73 year old woman. I also found out that I've had very low iron for a long time. This would explain my lethargic feeling all along but, can someone tell me if they've heard if prolonged anemia has anything to do with blood clots in your lungs? Just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced both of these together as well?

Welcome @luckylady1315, I hadn't thought about a connection between anemia with a blood clot in the lungs but did find some research on your question.

I did have anemia for a short period of time a year or so before I had the blood clots but not at the same time. Did you start a treatment for the anemia?
