After my 3rd PRRT treatment, my digestive system had improved so much that I had to stop taking my twice daily Imodium and my bowel movements had dropped from 6-8 daily to 2 or 3. I asked my Oncologist if I could try going off Sandostatin LAR as I had been on it for 8 years and wasn’t sure it was working anyway. He said yes. I completed my 4th PRRT and I have been SO happy to be off the Sandostatin. I no longer have horrible smelling gas and bowel movements and my digestive system is as normal as it has been since before I was diagnosed.
