I had the Y90 mapping last week and the treatment yesterday. To say the least, I have 0 tolerance to pain and I have to say the worst part for me was the having to lie flat for 3 hours. I was awake during both procedures. After mapping I slept alot the 1st 2 days. A week later I had the actual placement of radiation and I didn't even realize the doctor was finished until I saw my anesthesiologist moving around me. I was given a shot to numb the area of the groin and felt absolutely nothing. I personally had some awful heartburn but was given pepsid through my iv. Helped tremendously. Good luck with your procedures. I was very nervous also. But I realize I have a good chance of being rid of this tumor.

@pickardf Hi and welcome to Mayo Connect. Thanks for the Y90 feedback. I am glad that the procedures went well for you. What diagnosis led up to the need for Y90?
