@tweetypie13 and all... I am singing with joy this day!!! I just had a video appointment with my wonderful Mayo rheumatologist and I am thrilled!!!! She is indeed one of my guardian angels, and understands me well. She takes into consideration all of me, all of my stressors, my multiple autoimmune illnesses, an other issues in this body of mine as we walk this journey together. She is beginning the process of getting approval for Kevzara, the biologic several of you mentioned that is helping you reduce dependence on Prednisone as well as helping with your PMR symptoms. I am thrilled!

It is with trepidation she is beginning the approval process and such, as she is concerned about additional side effects, i.e. diverticulitis, infections which are a real issue for me as I had sepsis 4X last year! So, we will be extremely vigilant and careful. I live a very isolated life, see few humans and on a very limited basis... But, prayers are welcome. She is concerned this may lead to hospitalization so is quite hesitant to begin this route. I have multiple illnesses, multiple autoimmune illnesses, a weakened immune system, and other outside stressors, all causing her concerns. I am not concerned. I am thrilled! I see this as my only real option and am thankful there is an option to consider.

I have truly suffered with this PMR flare and continue to experience severe issues and limitations. So, I welcome this move and consider it a positive step forward!

Had to share with you good folks. Thanks for your good wishes and support. She indicated we are looking at a couple of weeks to get going with a specialty pharmacy and approval... Apparently it's quite expensive and is considered a step out of the normal treatments. I want to learn more... will do some research, but am so looking forward to moving ahead. Thank you for your wonderful input as we discussed and shared about this nasty illness.

Blessings to you all... Eliazaeth
