The numbness sounds like a nerve issue... did your doctors do an MRI on your spine, the whole thing from base of skull to tailbone? That might be a good idea, if nothing else than to rule out a spinal cord injury or compression. that kind of pain is not normal (as you already know) and it could be caused by nerve damage that didn't show up right away- and if you fell hard enough to crush your wrist bone, you also want to make sure there's no spinal damage whether bone or nerve. sounds like a visit to a spine specialist might be a good idea.
