I have had 15 squamous cell lesions, 2 melanoma tumors requiring surgery and one basal cell. About six of my squamous cells were removed through Mohs surgery (recommended). Generally, your dermatologist should advise you. Fluorouracil Cream works, but you must use it religiously. And, if the cells do not respond, you will still need surgery. Here’s the thing, I receive PET scans annually due to my melanoma experience. Out of nowhere, I have a squamous cell tumor in my scapula. So, the cells can travel through your body and attack bones, organs etc. I would call your dermatologist and or pay for a private dermatologist for treatment. Most squamous cell carcinomas are easily treated. Don’t wait.

My father died from one that metastasized. We all have had basal and squamous plus melanoma. I was seeing a dermatologist that was supposed to be the best. Not. I do not think he looks at me. I noticed my December next visit is with his PA. I am going to message her and make sure i do get her. She has great reviews. Listening to patients is noted. I have had 20 basal cell cut out and burnet off over the decades. Him to being concerned on some spots does not sit well. Not listening is not helpful. I have 5 of the 6 warning signs of getting skin cancer.
