Going to be off here for a few days, maybe longer. Even though I've kind of hit a spot i am comfortable with it is time to possibly leave the group. It's been a good run up till of late. And don't want to tie up many who have helped, from volunteer to coach and mentors and so many more. Will see where the next few days wants to put me. Thank you for all that you have done to help me get this far. Sincerely just me.

Good Morning Randy!
I read through everything, and I just want to say — that's an enormous amount to be carrying all at once. The loss of the veteran you cared for, your daughter's situation, losing a family friend, and now medication changes affecting your body on top of it all... any one of these would be hard alone. Together, it's a lot!
I want to gently say: this might be a moment where you need a bit more support, even with all the strength you've shown getting this far. Having someone dedicated just to you — a therapist or psychologist — can make a real difference. You deserve that kind of support too, Randy. Putting your own oxygen mask on first isn't selfish, it's necessary. I've been through that myself, as I've already shared with you.
About leaving the group — I hear you, and I respect wherever you land. You don't owe anyone an explanation. But I'll say this honestly: you've been part of this community for a while, and people here care about how you're doing, not just when things are going well. The door stays open, whether that's a few days or longer.
Take care of yourself, Randy!
Chris

@randallshields56 - just wanted to propose an option if you'd like a temporary break to attend to other matters: temporarily unsubscribe.

If you chose to do this, your settings would be kept intact for when you return and turn notifications back on. See info here: How to customize your notifications and settings | Mayo Clinic Connect https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/about-connect/newsfeed-post/how-to-customize-your-notifications-and-settings/

Below is the part of this page that may be especially appropriate for what you mentioned about needing to be off Connect for a few days and maybe longer:

- Disable/Enable All Email Notifications (find in bold text about 40% down this page)

If you felt this was in your temporary best interest, you can turn off all emails. Your settings will be saved when you decide to turn them back on.
