I see this note is a few years old. Are you feeling better?
FYI...doctor who said the hip pain can't be bursitis because the steroid shot did not help is, well plain wrong. Different people respond to shots in different ways. I have had two shots on my old ankle (now replaced) that did not work at all. First lasted 1 week, second 24 hours. What a waste.

Doctors also don't tell you that steroid shots weaken your cartilage!!!!! That is why they say you can only have so many a year, but they should be more honest (in my humble opinion) about what the shot can do to your cartilage.

How are you doing now?

@dmoreci well since then I found out from imaging that I have Grade lll chondromalacia Involving both hips, acetebular overcoverage bilaterally resulting in pincer-type femoral acetabular impingement syndrome, components of Rheumatoid Arthritis was found in both hips, also a small tear involving the anterior superior aspect of the labrum at the chondrolabral junction. I have seen 4 orthopedic surgeons & not one of them would do anything about it, gas lighting me sending me on my way so I gave up looking for help & I've just been dealing with the pain along with all the other things I have wrong!
