If you don't mind can I asked your age? I do that because I am 79 and have the exact same feeling in my legs especially my thighs. I am on both Eliquis and Statin too. I do take Co-Q-10 to offset the Statin.

I brought this up to my heart failure (HR) doctor, my electrophysiologist (EP), and my Primary Care provider (PCP) doctors. All said to look a muscle atrophy.

All suggested as we age our muscle get weaker especially the thigh and leg muscles. I was told to do some exercises to strengthen my thigh and leg muscles. When I did them boy did I have muscle soreness. My EP said yes you are targeting the muscles you need to strengthen and do twice a week.

I can feel more strength in my legs and also better balance.

Not saying medication cannot and do cause muscle issues and pain but there are also many other reasons for the pain and discomfort also.

I’m 80… I know everybody ages, but I’ve always been active. I don’t run or belong to gym but I’ve never been a couch potato… my lake we just started a month after I started taking the Eliquis and compared to this time last year. I have so much weaker in my legs. Other than that I think I feel pretty good most of the time.
