I took three Cipro pills, 1 on the evening of May 1, 2 on May 2. Woke up on May 3rd with intense "pins and needles" in right hand. Almost two months later, I have almost complete resolution in my little finger and 90% resolution in the ring finger. Tendon "lockup" and muscle pain have disappeared, and while sensation in the thumb, forefinger, and middle finger is only slightly improved, the "pins and needles" aspect has lessened and some strength has returned. I am hopeful for continued improvement without further medical intervention. My hope is that people on Cipro, their loved ones and their medical professionals be much more proactive and careful in its use. I quit immediately when doctors told me to continue, and I'm confident that I was spared further damage. I admit that Cipro is a life saver for many, but for others, it is to be hope that there is developed concurrent therapy (or predictive genotyping) to spare its victims.

The black box warning which no one shared with me, says it can cause death by dissection of the aorta. For some, there is no second chance. So glad you had the good sense to quit after 3pills! I took the full course and didn’t experience anything for about 3weeks. Disastrous!
