I don't think that there is anything that helps. After a few years I think that the frequency/severity of the fasciculations is easing somewhat, but sometimes the aliens crawling around in my legs is quite annoying. Cramping seems to be improving also. It might be that I am just adapting to them, though.

I’ve done a few of things for 6 months and I think they help. I’ll share.

I stopped drinking alcohol.
(I used to drink 2-3
Bourbon and Cokes
In the evening)
I started walking a treadmill 5-6 times/week for an hour each day, followed by a lot of hamstring, quadriceps and calf stretching.
I added and have worked up to doing standing squats with a light (20lb) weight. I plan on adding more as I progress.

Climbing ladders and moving through dense high grass/weeds/vines made night cramps for certain but the daily exercise and stretching, I think, has helped.

I also began taking Magnesium Glycinate 450 mg/day.

I eat 2 bananas, an apple, an orange and an avocado every day.

Several variables, so I don’t know for certain if any single one works or if any one mentioned doesn’t work.

At least I have a name for what I am experiencing, so I can discuss it with my PCP on my next visit.
