@love06092025 thank you for your story. I am seeing my specialist in two weeks for a second biopsy after the MRI showing 2 lesions of 1.0 and 1.9 which they did not detect on the year old biopsy. I am thinking that the doctor will report back that a Gleason 3+4 is confirmed and he then would want to do the surgery. I am hoping to go to a therapist for strengthening my pelvic floor to help me in this journey. I too am a positive person

You never know what your biopsy is going to show. Frequently prostate cancer is not in the area of the lesions, but is in some other spot in the prostate that didn’t show up in the MRI.

If it is a 3+4 what percentage of four is it? If it’s a low percent, you might be able to do active surveillance. Was the cancer found in more than one core that was taken? Another option is you could have radiation of it’s totally isolated to the prostate. Need to speak to a radiation oncologist, and a surgeon about options.

What was the PIRADS score on the two lesions that were found? If a four or five, they can be indications that something will be found In the biopsy.

When I had my second biopsy, they said I had a 3+4. After surgery, they said it was a 4+3. I know people that have been told it was a 4+5 after surgery. You never really know about the accuracy of what they found in the biopsy, which only gets about 1% of the prostate. Of course, if you decide on surgery, then you can find out what the result really is.
