My son had 4 aneurysms at the same time and had multiple surgeries. He had all but 1 inch of his aorta replaced including the aorta valve. The last inch of natural aorta was an aneurysm that he lived with for years. He had a great team of surgeons and a great heart hospital. He was known as patient zero for the ARIH1 gene mutation. He was the reason they found this gene that causes aneurysms. After multiple surgeries and 19.5 years he still had 4 aneurysms they were watching. He even had 1 dissection on the upper descending aorta back in 2013 and survived it. The medical community as a whole shares information and uses it to improve and save lives. I would definitely recommend to follow what your doctors and surgeons tell you what to do. Science and technology has come a long way since his first aorta valve replacement in 2005 when he was 6 years old at the time. If you follow what you heart doctors say you can live a longer healthier life. I also recommend praying and keeping faith it has gotten me and my family through a lot of tough times.
