Many of us are in your situation. I had diagnosis of Bursitis then gluteal tendinopathy. The bursa was inflamed and hurt when lying down, walking, squatting, etc. After some injections and PT, all calmed down. Now, I have both hips, glutes and low back hurt sometimes with sharp pain on some movement. Doctor still believes Gluteal Tendinopathy. Could be a labral tear, gluteal tear or just worn-out tendons. Definitely get an MRI from Orthopedic to make sure nothing is torn or trapped. No more corticosteroids as that damages tendons over time if you do it too much. It does feel great though.

@loyd1957 yes I’m hoping to get an orthopedic on board that can evaluate me now and perhaps in the future, if need be.
I do believe the high dose steroids for three months is behind all of this. I never had any issues before however, the medication was unavoidable and hopefully I can stay off it at some point.
Thanks for your response
