@mrichey55 My oncologist says after one Keytruda infusion I went into DKA with coma. Blood Glucose 1103 in ER. I survived, don't remember much, and now have Type 1 Diabetes (permanently). I continued with chemo without Keytruda and 6 months later after surgery and two sessions of radiation went to my PCP telling her I felt AWFUL (not helpful but the best description I had). She couldn't read my blood pressure except for when I was standing, 60/50. She laid me down and called the Emergency Response Team. I was in Adrenal Crisis. They told me it happened at the same time as the coma. No wonder I had such a hard time getting through treatment and my Diabetes had been ruled "brittle". Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency (permanent). Not a good experience with those endocrinologists. And the oncologist must not have known what to watch for. This can happen. I suggest you get Ketone Strips and test every day. And even better, a finger stick blood glucose meter. But if you can't stick yourself, go ahead and pee on the strips. Both are available at the grocery store without a prescription. Also take your blood pressure and watch for drops in your usual BBP. Ultimately, I have pCR for DCIS breast cancer.
