Hello @suzy51

Let me add my welcome to you in joining Mayo Connect. I would also inquire as to whether your doctor is aware of your symptoms. I see that you are just one month post bypass and I'm not sure what type of pain or discomfort is considered normal at this point - but I'm sure that if you contact your doctor's office they would give you their opinion and perhaps see you and check this out. There are many meds that can assist with chest discomfort.

Will you give your doctor a call and let us know how you are doing?

Hi Suzy. This is new for me too. My triple bypass was June 29 and experiencing similar pain/discomfort you described.
I had complications and was in ICU 6 days that has made recovery more difficult. Hope to get out of rehab unit next week. Bottom line, you are with a bunch of us that recovering and it will get better. Like you I need to be patient while things heal. Cutting ones sternum open takes time to heal.. good luck.

Hello @aaaporterhouse,

Welcome to Connect. Thank you so much for joining this group with your insights; we sincerely look forward to getting to know you better.

@aaaporterhouse, may I ask what complications you experienced after your surgery?

I'm having the same problems I've told the hospital here and they don't believe me they won't even check to see if anything is blocked and I'm so scared
