Thank you for the CDC info. I am taking Tramadol ( 100 mg )but have terrible
constipation so on my next visit to our family doctor I will ask about
a pain reliever that does not cause constipation, if there is such a thing.
When I took only one tablet ( 50 mg) there was not problem but my
pain has gotten worse so need the higher dose.

Sometimes we get whatever will dull or take the pain away. The side effects
can be problematic and can even result in severe liver damage. I was taking
percocet but it only slightly helped the pain. I've found that Diclofenac, an
anti-inflammatory med works okay for me with no bad side effects.

@kayraymat I have never had motility problems with the Percocet or Oxycodone. I take a 5-7 milligram dose (a half of a 10/325 percocet) and half of a 10 oxycodone. It has no known side effects if you drink adequate water and don't take it with alcohol. Except as with any opioid - concerns of addiction if you have addiction issues.
Drink a lot of fluids is always helpful and get yourself moving! Eat a good array of fruits, veggies, and whole grain breads and you should be fine! You can even add a laxative.
I think I am active and eat enough fiber. I drink some coffee in the morning and the warm liquid makes everything "go."
Everyone is different so of course, check with your doc. The only time I have a problem is when I have surgery and anesthesia it puts my intestines to sleep for weeks!
