@cman55 I am so sorry to hear about your girlfriend. She has gone through far too much because of the osteoporosis. I am lucky that when my osteoporosis was discovered, I had been working out for many years and had developed muscle. Although I had a fall, I was fortunate to suffer a high ankle sprain. Fortunate, because that sprain, as bad as it was, did not break anything. The effects of the sprain stayed with me for three years. That is why Wake Baptist put me on Tymlos for 21 month. Three months were every other day, and 18 months of daily shots. Then I went a Prolea injection every six months. Although the recommended time for Prolea is 10 years max, Wake believes I should stay on it for the rest of my life. I am currently looking into another type of injection that doesn't have the same side effects as Prolea. I pray that your girlfriend is getting the right kind of care. Sometimes, that involves a number of specialists. What's most important is that she recover from all of the health challenges she has faced for way too long!

@curlylocks7 Thanks for the reply. We have been trying to get a appointment with a neurologist for over 1 year. It is stopped either by them not taking her insurance, or the particular Neurologist doesn't treat lumbar nerve pain. We finally have a appointment with one at the Pain Management Clinic she is seen at, because they decided to add a Neurologist to their clinic. Maybe something can come of that. She just started medical Marijuana, and is off of the lesser opioids that have been prescribed for over a year. So far she is getting some relief though doesn't really want the high that comes with it.
She took Evenity for 1 year, Reclast the second year while also getting HRT treatment. Hopefully, next Bone Density test shows some progress. The HRT is Testosterone, and Estrogen pellets injected in her back quarterly. She has to take Progesterone because of these pellets. I hope you can strengthen your bones with the help of your doctors.
