Yes, I switched and no, it’s not stronger. It’s just different. It also depends on the dosage. Maybe your dosage is different. You didn’t say. There are 1200 pain relievers and they do different things to different people. Percocet is the best for ME. Hydrocodone made me feel edgy, and I built a tolerance within a week or two of taking it. Percocet has been great for me for 25 years. Oxycodone is just the narcotic without the acetaminophen. The oxycodone with the acetaminophen works MUCH better for me. It has that kick not from the narcotic but from the acetaminophen. I can take 25% of the narcotic just by adding in the Tylenol part. Ask your doctor to work with you to find the right medication and the right dosage of the medication for your needs. It’s always an ongoing battle because people abuse narcotics so you have to have a good doctor on board that trust You and that you trust as well to manage narcotic pain relievers. The CDC has a publication you can look up about narcotic pain, relievers, and how they should be prescribed when you have long-term chronic back pain. It’s helpful to bring these kind of documents to your doctor because some doctors are scared about dispensing narcotics. If you see a doctor, that’s connected to federal funding that could also be a problem. From my point of view, the narcotic is the perfect pain reliever for long-term good health and lack of side effects. Also, I think gout was mentioned. Get a uric acid test and if your uric acid isn’t exactly middle asked to get on allopurinol. If you want to try. ZAZZEE tart cherry capsules on Amazon and see if you get over-the-counter pain relief try that. I was suffering for 30 years until someone here mentioned the tart cherry capsules and in 24 hour my pain was gone. I asked the doctor she gave me a uric acid blood test and it was high. It was high but in range and I told her I wanted to try the medicine. Gout is hereditary and my dad was on the medicine. I already had gout flares 25 years ago and kept a low purine diet but at 69 a good diet wasn’t enough I needed to be on the medication and here. I stay very happy!!!

Thank you for the CDC info. I am taking Tramadol ( 100 mg )but have terrible
constipation so on my next visit to our family doctor I will ask about
a pain reliever that does not cause constipation, if there is such a thing.
When I took only one tablet ( 50 mg) there was not problem but my
pain has gotten worse so need the higher dose.
