Will, or can your PCP prescribe a biologic? Like Kevzara or Actemra? My PCP won’t (says it’s over his head.) I’d like to stop going to my rheumatologist but she prescribes my Kevzara, Kevzara is working for me and I wish to continue it. I wish my PCP felt comfortable prescribing it. He treats other PMR patients. He prescribes Prednisone only.

@stonewheel Your PCP "won't prescribe a biological he says it is over his head". Wow, that sound to me more like lazy than unable. I find it hard for a doctor not being able to prescribe. They love to prescribe! It is possible that he/she would have to work on it with the insurance company. It might not be within your plan. But if it is medicare, I believe it is. Maybe someone else can help you with the insane and outs of getting it prescribed. I had some trouble but my doctor
