Yes I was on omperazole. I went off it many years ago when I had a dexa scan and my bones aren't as strong as I thought they were and that's because this type of medication weakens the bones . I take levothyroxine on and off but but that's only because my thyroid levels were down. So I bought some organic vitamin d and I make sure that I watch what I eat. Anything like oranges or tomatoes tend to stay away from but I do have an ongoing prescription for a zofran which is for nausea which I also have gastroparesis. I still have too much acid in my body. Often I take A little bit of baking soda in warm water and I gargle and I spit it out and then I take a little bit more and well. Then I just drink it. And I only make sure that the baking soda is organic. That does the trick

Good morning,
I’m an 80 yr old, and for 14 yrs. I Took levothyroxin for Hashimotos thyroid. As I aged my thyroid stabilized and no longer take the Levo! . However,
I developed BE while I was on Levothyroxin and a PPI protonix for my BE. You’re correct that there is a correlation between the two illnesses or an affect of both drugs overtime on other organs like our heart, and bones!
I too developed
Osteoporosis, from the PPI!
I fractured my spine 2yrs ago, due to Omeprazole and Protinix long term!
Of course drugs are necessary
I’m currently on a “Reclast infusion” yearly for my bones, as I’m now on a higher dose 40mg 2xs daily of Omeprazole!!
I am currently on an anti- inflammatory diet… (due to MY OWN research) and Not a doctors!! They are not much help when it comes to healthy eating to heal the body! The Anti-inflammation diet has greatly helped! Reducing the PH / acid in our bodies, healing my gut!
I highly recommend the book
“Plant Powered Plus “ author: gastrointestinal doctor
Will Bulsiewicz, yes it’s eating more berries and dark greens, legumes, and fiber, fermented foods (Bulgarian yogurt, sauerkraut, etc. and more filtered water, but it’s taming the inflammation causing Your acid, therefore healing the Gut, which will take TIME!
It’s new out this year, certain a library or Amazon has it!
Sending my Blessings for continued healing!
