Hello, I am new here. I had a spot on my leg for 10+ years. My dermatologist was never concerned, treated for eczema, dry skin etc. Last fall I finally asked for a biopsy and it came back positive for superficial BCC. I had 2 courses of fluorouracil each 3 weeks and then another two courses of Aldera for 6 weeks each, because the lesion had not gone away. I finished the 2nd course of Aldera in February. At my follow up appointment I asked for another biopsy because the lesion was still there and had minimal improvement. It came back positive again for superficial BCC. She wanted to do another 6 week course of Aldera. When I asked if there were other options because this previously did not work, she suggested ed &c. Has anyone had a similar situation? I am concerned about having a significant scar on my lower leg and was wondering if there were other options.
