Does " high" mean you can stand a lot of pain ?....or you can't ???

If Tylenol works for you, that is great. I have found good / helpful info
from pharmacists . Pain I can understand, usually, but this constant pain
is dreadful & debilitating.

@kayraymat I have lived with fibromyalgia and other immune conditions for years so I guess I am so used to pain 24/7 it has to be above the equivalent of 10 or more for someone else, for me to feel feel what normally could be felt at 6 or 7 for others.

Right now I have arthritis pain in both my knees - more on the right than left. X-ray shows “mild to moderate arthritis in right knee, mild arthritis in left knee” but it feels anything but “mild to moderate”! The pain I am experiencing is a 10 so I can’t help wondering if I have a torn meniscus. I can’t understand the report stating “mild to moderate” because I can barely walk - but … I still can function because for me that still is tolerable. Someone else would have to take heavy duty painkillers for this kind of pain. My doctor suggested pregablin or gabapentin but I told her I would stick with just Extra Strength Tylenol or Tylenol for Arthritis, just to take the edge off but I don’t want to take anything stronger because even codeine makes me dizzy and nauseous. I don’t want to have to take something else to mask the side effects of the painkiller because I can see it turning into a spinning wheel of one medication leading to another, then another, each to fight the side effects of a previous one since I seem to be sensitive to drugs! I’d rather put up with the pain as long as I still can tolerate it. I only hope that the pain in my let is from arthritis because I have had arthritis in other parts of my body too for many years and have never felt this kind of pain.

Having said this, however, I haven’t experienced the pain of a knee or hip replacement so … I don’t know if I will be able to stand up (pun unintended) to that! 🤷🏼‍♀️
