I would think a pain doc should have a pretty good idea if SCS is merited and use it as a last resort. I told my pain doc that if epidurals work that would be my preferred treatment for the rest of my days.

@caregeraci15 It is hard to understand how one can have a normal myelogram, yet have constant pain! Epidurals never did anything for me either. I've not noticed any difference between lyrica and gabapentin, I was on gabapentin for 11 yrs. before a rehab place recommended lyria....no diff! Making the decision whether to do SCS or not is one of the toughest decision I've ever made. I pray something will help you.
I would think that big pharma would make tons of money off REAL pain relief meds...there are so many ppl suffering out there with chronic pain. Give us one that won't dope us up, but one that will at least reduce pain so we can LIVE!!! God bless you Care!
