I found out the underlying cause of my PN. It is related to celiac disease for which I tested positive last July. So soon it will be a one year anniversary that I will be gluten free. I had a setback of sorts with an unnecessary shin shave biopsy (no cancer found) but apparently the dermatologist damaged peripheral nerves in my shin/calf and this has amplified my neuropathy. In addition, there was a long cold winter here in NYC and neuropathy dislikes cold. I refuse to take any oral meds--but was prescribed Rx lidocaine patch for the shin. I do believe in getting the blood moving as you say because it brings nutrients and healing to our body so I do a stretching program for 20 minutes, strength training 2x per week, and frequent walks. It is not easy to always find out what causes neuropathy-I am outside the most identified groups--and I had many tests done before the blood test for celiac. My hope is that when my shin heals and it could take many months, my neuropathy will lessen.

@arcuri24 I thought you stated that the doc damaged your nerves? If so, just know that it takes 1 to 2 years because the regrowth is slow.
