I don't know if there are misspellings in your answer about the calcium. It is hard to decipher. What do you take? Calcium from Algae but what brand. what is "small pillow calcium?' I take D3 and MK7 in pill form. I also take Calcium with 3 different calcium products: Calcium hydroxyapatite, Calcium Citrate, and calcium apartate. It is from a brand called Country Life and also has D Complex 10mcg. The Calcium is 1000mg and the Magnesium is 500mg. I take an extra D3 that is 10mcg because I want to be sure I get the 100% daily requirement. The bottle says it is formulated to maximize calcium absorption. It is manufactured at a GMP registered facility. I have had osteoporosis since 2002 or thereabouts. I took HRT after menopause but was taken off of it back when they said it could cause heart problems. I truly wish I had stayed on it. I think I would have been better off to take it. Nobody in my family has had heart trouble. I started taking Fosemax at the beginning for several years and then I was diagnosed with Graves Disease. Then I was given radioactive iodine to kill my thyroid and then gradually was placed on levothyroxine to replace my thyrold hormones. I did well on it but the thyroid meds can aggravate the osteoporosis. Later my endocrinologist changed me to Boniva and I took that for 3 years. Lately after the Boniva was stopped I was prescribed the Evenity shots, 1 per month for 12 months. Amazingly this put my bone dexa back in the range of osteopenia. I am so happy but now I have to pick something to help me maintain what I have gained from the Evenity. It was suggested that I have the Reclast infusion but I am reluctant to do it. I would rather take a medication by mouth monthly. I do not know what I will do but my appointment is next week with a new endocrinologist since I moved to a different location. I just received an order of Native Path collagen with fortibone and verisol. I will begin taking that to try to maintain.

@ceciliabaker Two calcium supplements that source their calcium from algae are AlgaeCal and New Chapter Bone Strength. It supposed to be food based calcium, so better absorbed.

Another food based supplement I've found are Seen Calcium Chews, which gets it's calcium from food (dates, milk minerals and protein, almonds and mushroom . Each chew contains 500mg calcium and 400IU Vitamin D.

As far as Fortibone collagen, I take AlgaeCal collagen powder.
